O SOMOS é uma reunião de artistas-criadores que tem o intuito de investigar as multiplicidades do corpo e do movimento através de trabalhos em dança, artes visuais, teatro, fotografia e audiovisual. Composto por 3 artistas de formações distintas -dança, filosofia e design-, o grupo apresenta trabalhos de linguagem interdisciplinar, convergindo técnicas e habilidades diversas, entre elas a utilização de tecnologias analógicas e digitais.

Nascido em 2013, O SOMOS já participou de diferentes festivais de dança e teatro, entre eles: 2º MultiFestival de Teatro OFFRio (2013 / Três Rios-RJ), 8º Niterói em Cena (2015), onde recebeu três indicações e duas premiações e 17º Festival de Cenas Curtas do Galpão Cine Horto (2016). Em Belo Horizonte, já realizou performances de rua, bem como apresentações e exposições nos espaços: Benfeitoria, CASA - Centro de Arte Savassi e sede do Grupo Corpo. Em 2016, o grupo foi selecionado para a vivência artística “Choreographic Code Lab 7”, realizada pelo grupo Motion Bank (Áustria / Alemanha) no SESC Palladium (Belo Horizonte). Ao longo dos anos de 2016 e 2017, O SOMOS tem sido convidado para participar de feiras gráficas e exposições. Em 2017, o grupo inicia nova fase, fazendo parte do Almeida Centro de Inspiração, edifício ocupado por 14 projetos artísticos. O Almeida é uma iniciativa da Revista Ernesto e do JA.CA - Centro de Arte e Tecnologia. Em 2019, estreou o espetáculo LOOP, participando de eventos como A Virada Cultural e o Festival de Cenas Curtas do Galpão Cine Horto. 

Em 2020 O SOMOS é selecionado para participar do 1° Encontro Brasileiro de Pole e Danças com o tema "Reinventar o Feminino", também neste ano, o grupo realizou apresentação do trabalho SUFOCA a convite do SESC Palladium no projeto "Criações Digitais". Em 2021, o grupo é aprovado em alguns editais  estaduais e municipais, no estado de Minas Gerais e na cidade de Belo Horizonte, entre eles: "Virada Cultural" e "Zona Cultural Praça da Estação", sendo, neste último, o único grupo de dança a ser contemplado pela premiação.

O SOMOS is a meeting of brazilian artists whose aim is to investigate the multiplicities of the body and movement through works in dance, visual arts, theater, photography and audiovisual. Integrated by 3 artists of different backgrounds: philosophy, dance and design, the group presents works with an interdisciplinary language, converging techniques and different skills, among them a use of analog and digital technologies. Created in 2013, O SOMOS was part of several dance and theater festivals, between them: 2º Multifestival de Teatro OFFRio,  8º Niterói em Cena, where the group received three nominations and two awards - and 17º Festival de Cenas Curtas do Galpão Cine Horto. In Belo Horizonte, performed urban performances, as well as presentations and exhibitions in places like: Benfeitoria, Centro de Arte Savassi and Grupo Corpo. In 2016, the group was selected for the Art Residency “Choreographic Code Lab 7”, led by the group Motion Bank (Austria/Germany) in SESC Palladium. Over the years of 2016  and 2017, O SOMOS has been invited to participate of graphic fairs and exhibitions. In 2017, the group starts a new phase, being part of Almeida Centro de Inspiração, building occupied by 14 artistic projects. The Almeida is a initiative of Revista Ernesto and JA.CA Centro de Arte e Tecnologia. In 2020 SOMOS is selected to participate in the 1st Brazilian Festival of Pole and Dances (EBPD) with the theme "Reinventing the Female", also this year, the group presented the work SUFOCA at the invitation of SESC Palladium (Brazilian Cultural Center) in the "Digital Creations" project.

In 2021, the group is approved in some state and municipal notices, in the state of Minas Gerais and in the city of Belo Horizonte, among them: "Virada Cultural" and "Zona Cultural Praça da Estação", being, in the latter, the only group of dance to be contemplated by the award.
